"My (soon to be legally) ex-husband opened up a policy sometime last week and ended up adding me and my vehicle to it without my knowledge or consent. My vehicle is fully covered under a different provider in my name solely and has been since we separated. My ex called me last Friday and told me that somehow he added both my car and myself to his policy and wanted me to continue to stay on his policy and pay him for the insurance I did not need. I told him no and I would like to not link myself legally to him in any more ways that what is already there. I called Derick to let him know I never approved this and left a voicemail since no one answered. Tuesday I tried reaching out again and after a second call, I finally received a call back from Derick. He told me that he was unable to do anything to help me since I was not the one who opened the policy and that since we are technically still married legally, my ex was allowed to add me without any notice or permission from me. He said that until my ex contacted them, I was pretty much out of luck and I could “just not pay him” and therefore he would be liable, but that may also cause legal repercussions for myself. Fast forward to today, (Thursday) I have reached out to my ex to get proof that I have been taken off (as well as my vehicle, which Derick tells me he is completely allowed to have coverage on since he was a co-signer on it). He refused to give me proof and just continued to tell me it was already taken care of. I emailed Derick asking if he could verify that I was no longer on the policy, sending proof of my ex refusing to even send me an insurance card as proof. I will admit there were choice words used in the screenshotted text thread due to the headache it has been. My ex finally sent me a text where he had gotten in contact with someone at this location who told him I would need to send my insurance declarations page from MY provider, directly stating that I was in fact STILL on the State Farm policy and would be until it was received. I sent that document to the phone number ex provided and called about thirty minutes later as I had not heard from anyone regarding confirmation that it was received. Derick then immediately cut me off as soon as I told him my name and then continued to speak over me telling me that I was trying to involve him in drama and that I was no longer to get in contact with his branch. Every time I would try to explain my reasoning for the email (which was for proof I was being denied verification from ex) he would cut me off and not allow me to explain anything. I tried to then speak and verify that he had in fact received my declarations page via text and he cut me off once again before continuing to berate me and again told me I am no longer allowed to contact him or his branch. I then sent the declarations page to his email as I just want this whole entire nightmare to come to an end and need to make sure that the document is received. I had someone call and try to verify that it was received by Derick so my name can be removed at the very least and HE was hung up on and believes his number has been blocked from calling."

"Good morning Ariel. Your current legal husband started insurance on a vehicle that he also owns. He is on the tags, registration and financing of that vehicle. This is as much his vehicle legally as it is yours. He is required to carry insurance on it by law. You are his legal spouse, and you are listed on his vehicle. He started this insurance after you excluded him from your policy even though he is still legally required to carry insurance on that vehicle. When you first called my office, I informed you that he is required to have insurance on the vehicle, but you are also able to carry your own policy if you would like. I informed you that I could remove you from the policy if you provided me with proof of coverage elsewhere because you are still legally his spouse, but I could not cancel the policy unless your husband, the named insured, requested the cancellation because he is an owner of the vehicle and he paid for the insurance. The next day you emailed me an incredibly Inappropriate chain of text messages between you and your husband, filled with profanity. It was incredibly unprofessional. You called after you sent the email, and when I informed you that what you sent was inappropriate, and this is a professional office and we do not deserve to be in the middle of a divorce, and we have no business receiving the messages we did, you laughed and thought it was funny. You said you called to see if I received your declarations page to remove you from the policy. I told you that I did receive it, and I would get it submitted. I asked you not to contact my office with things of that matter again. You continued to speak over me and get upset, and I continued to tell you that we have followed our required laws and regulations, and we are an insurance agency, and what you were doing was unacceptable. You hung up on me. I processed the change to remove you from the household, and I contacted your husband to let him know. If you had someone else contact the office, then no, we would not have illegally spoken to him about a policy that he has no affiliation with. We cannot block anyone from contacting our office, so that is another lie. I would appreciate it if you would remove this false review, and leave my office out of your personal life. If you have any questions about the insurance, please feel free to call the office. I hope everything gets better for and you have a great day. "

"We have been with this agent since December 2020 (home and auto coverage). No major issues, however, my spouse ran into a few issues with his auto insurance rate going up and down and receiving conflicting explanations as to why the rates were changing. Unfortunately a couple of years later , due to 2 accidents that occurred with my vehicle we were dropped from our auto policy which we totally understood. This year, my spouse decided to work with State Farm again, but with a different agent due to his previous experience. Because of this I had to call our current agent to start the transfer process of moving our home insurance. When speaking with the agent he didn’t seem pleased and was annoyed at the fact we were making a change. I, too, would hate to see a client leave for any reason, but good customer service is still important. Unfortunately that was not received during our call."

"Insurance can be difficult to understand. I felt empowered after working with office manager, Walt, who was patient and informative to help me make the best elections for my coverage! My first experience was with another competitor, and while it was not bad, I didn't feel compelled to remain a customer. State Farm issues regular rate decreases, and I've already gotten two in less than two years!"

"I have been a happy customer with State Farm twice now! I had to switch to another company for a little while but have recently returned to State Farm! I couldn’t be happier with their services. "Derick Glance reached out to me this morning about a quote I did online. I told him I’m working on disputing something on my file before wanting to move forward. He got disrespectful and accused me on not being honest. I ended the call. He immediately texted me and said “if you’re busy next time say that”. I’m not busy. I told you what I was attempting. If I wasn’t interested I’d be like a million others and say that. Very unprofessional."

I am sorry, and he is sorry, if he came across as disrespectful in any way. We are not able to avoid claims that are listed on your history because you are disputing them. "I've been working with Walt on Derrick's team, and after paying over $250 with GEICO since 2023, I'm paying less than $200 now, thanks to their help and a national promo to lower rates. I've had several calls, and it took two months for me to pull the trigger, but I'm so glad I have a great local guy and his team instead of a cumbersome website and GEICO's confusing and time consuming apps.
